School Readiness Information and Pamphlet is here!

The new School Readiness pamphlet will soon be joining the website.  It is currently being distributed throughout the county to many schools and organizations

This pamphlet was a joint creation by many schools, groups, teachers and early childhood organizations that was coordinated by Launch Manistee. It is designed to help parents determine not only whether a child has acquired the basic skills, but also focuses on support needed from families, schools and communities to make sure the child is ready for school.

Launch Manistee put together a cross sector of the community to work on a definition of school readiness. That group consisted of representatives from Great Start Collaborative, FiveCAP Inc., 19th Judicial Circuit Court, Beth McCarthy, Great Start to Quality, Human Services Collaborative Body Manistee County, Kaleva Norman Dickson Schools, Launch Manistee, Manistee County Board of Commissioners, Manistee Area Public Schools, Manistee Intermediate School District, Michigan State University Extension, Onekama Consolidated Schools and West Shore Community College.
